Some researches has been done on four-cylinder gasoline engine electronic controlsystem by using model-based development methodology in this dissertation. First of all, theengine electronic control system is analyzed, and then each subsystem of engine is studied.The air-fuel ratio control, electronic ignition control and throttle closed-loop control aredescribed in detail, and the control strategies are studied. Based on different operatingconditions of the engine control, the regulation of various control parameters and controleffectiveness, the control system model is established..With Matlab/Curve Fitting Toolbox and sensor calibration data, the pedal position, thethrottle position and the temperature sensor models are built. Using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, the air-fuel ratio identification module is built up, for adapting to the engine underdifferent operating conditions on the demand for air-fuel ratio. The amount of intake aircontrol subsystem, the subsystem of fuel control and the ignition control subsystem arecreated using Matlab/Simulink.,The closed-loop control of the electronic throttle, the air-fuelratio control, ignition advance angle and the dwell angle control are achieved.Finally, a four-cylinder gasoline engine model is established for the validation andverification the feasibility of the control system model and the correctness of the controlstrategy. The simulation of control system of engine model is carried out, and the results showthat, the control parameter changes and control methods are consistent with the theoryanalysis. The feasibility of the control system model is verified. With Matlab/RTW, the modelis transformed to executable code and downloaded into the MACS565rapid controlprototyping system. Some in-the-loop simulation tests are carried out to verify system model.The initial calibration MAPS are also established in MACS565system.With model-based design methods, the development time and efficiency can greatlyreduced and improved.
