Modern ships are almost totally-enclosed ships without porthole. The ventilation andtiny climate environment in the cabin are all under the control of air-conditioning system. Agood environment in the cabin is not only beneficial to the physical and psychological healthof sailor in the cabin, it also can ensure that the sailor have an efficient working state. In thedesign process of the air conditioning of ships, the airflow organization form is veryimportant to whole air conditioning effect. A reasonable airflow organization form canimprove the air quality effectively, it also can reduce energy consumption, realize theeconomy of air condition running. So in the design process of the air conditioning of ships,the forecast and analysis of airflow organization form in the cabin is an important link.In this thesis, a living cabin is taken as the model to do simulation analysis on the effectof different airflow organizations. On the basic of computational fluid dynamic theory andmethodology, the simulation is proceeded by Airpak3.0, which is a specialty software inHVAC areas. In addition, a general evaluating system is set up for the air condition effect toanalyze and compare the simulation result. Through these ways, the best airflow organizationis gotten for the narrowness and lowness cabins of the ship. All of these works is helpful forthe design of air conditioning of ships.More specifically speaking, the following works are carried out in this thesis:1Use existing experiment condition, by means of the contrast of experiment test andsimulation result, confirms the veracity of the analogy method in this thesis.2Introduce the correlation theory of airflow organization and indoor air flow, in addition,simplify the model reasonably on bases of these theory.3According to the criterion of ‘GBT13409-92Air condition and ventilation ofaccommodation spaces on board ship design parameter and method of calculations’ the heattransfer quantity and ventilated parameters are gotten.4Build the model and set the boundary conditions by Airpak3.0, the mesh files are alsogotten by this software. The simulation results of all kinds of ventilation types are gotten bythe solver of FLUENT. At last, combine the postprocessor of Airpak3.0and the software ofTecplot, two-dimensional visual cross profile of temperature field and velocity field aregotten. 5According to design requirement of comfortable air condition, all airfloworganizations are compared and analyzed through various index. At last, the most reasonableairflow organization for the ship cabin is gotten.
