Kaiping Castle Guide Depending On The Three-dimensionai Design

The tridimensional design and research on guide sign system can emerge in the developmentprocess of the similar types of the tourism scenic zones，large public buildings，public places andcities in not only China but also other countries. Since the society and economy are developingrapidly today，many tourism scenic zones in China are facing the bottlenecks in their developingprocess, and this thesis takes Kaiping Diaolou as example, analysis and studies the present problems inguide sign system of Kaiping Diaolou，gives the targeted conceptual designs from the tridimensionalguide sign aspect，and expects to resolve the development bottlenecks Kaiping Diaolou is facing by the gooduse of the tridimensional guide sign in Kaiping Diaolou.Resolving the problem that Kaiping Diaolou has no complete guide sign design system by giving guidesin theory for the guide sign design in Kaiping Diaolou scenic zone through the study of the theories involvedwith guide design and guide sign design system. The core viewpoint in this thesis is that coming up with theconcept of tridimensional guide sign, emphasizing using the visualized visual symbols or elements andtransforming the complex text information into simple graphic elements，so as to make tourists finding thedirection easier and spreading the information more wildly. Combining and mixing the natural environmentand history background in the scenic zone while designing and carrying out the guide sign system toimproving the scenic zone’s brand image and its further development，and then set good examples andreferences to the similar zones in China.This thesis is based on the analysis and explanations of the theories about guide design and guide signdesign system together with the examples both in China and abroad，elaborates the significance, feasibility andfunctions of the Kaiping Diaolou’ tridimensional guide sign design,the way to improve it particularly and thedialectical relations of related disciplines and theories.And analysis the strategies and ways in the process of designing the Kaiping Diaolou’ tridimensionalguide sign system. At the same time we expect to make Kaiping Diaolou’ present disordered situation better and promote its further development. Providing examples and references to the same type of scenic zones andattracting the society’s attention to tridimensional guide sign design in order to promote the development oftridimensional guide sign design.
