Research On The Relationship Between Water Environment Around Residential Houses And Architectural Value

Since ancient times, people have had an instinct of being close to water.Residential houses distributed around water environment are more popular among consumers, though the price is relatively high. Therefore, There is some certain relationship between the water environment of architecture and architectural value. This paper puts forwards and analyzes in detail five basic properties,namely, the water area of water environment, water quality, liquidity, hydrophilic property and water-closing property. Based on the existing theory,with a focus on the qualitative property, this paper analyzes the influence mechanism that they have on the architectural value one by one. Taking residential houses as samples and focusing on statistical description, this paper tries to reveal the qualitative and quantitative relationship between the water environment surrounding Hefei city’s residential houses and their prices.On that basis, This paper tries to summarize how properties of water environment affect architectural value. Research fruits have enriched the theories concerning the water environment. They are also of theoretical and practical meaning to build water environment properly to maximize architectural value. Meanwhile, The research results also provide certain references for the developers to develop water view houses properly and buyers to invest on the water view houses reasonably.
