Research On The Traditional Street-lane Space Form Of Ancient Town Of Sanhe

The ancient town of Sanhe is the reflection on the unique architectural style which is the most complete ancient waterside town during late Qing Dynasty in Anhui regions. Sanhe, which owns a special geographical position, locates in the boundary of Feixi, Shucheng and Lujiang countries. Its traditional architectural culture is the combination of north and south culture, as well as vital historical and cultural heritage of China.This paper takes the street space as the research object, which is the most obvious reflection of the traditional style of ancient town, relies on historical material and results of practical investigation, thus conducting a profound research on the traditional pattern of street space in the ancient town through the theory of urban plan, architecture, and environmental psychology and so on. Through the research on the generation environment, spatial form elements, spatial structure, spatial form and proportion and scale of the street, this paper summarizes the characteristics of the features of traditional street space in the ancient town of Sanhe, thus providing disciplines for protection of style in the ancient town.
