Longhua Town Space Form And Architectural Features Research

Longhua ancient town is located in the Northwest area of Pingshan county, Yibin. It has tropical monsoon climate and abundant biology resources. In history, Longhua contained many ethnic minorities and enjoys a steep, mountainous terrain, which make it an important military base in the south region of Sichuan province, and also a typical immigrant hot spot in Qing dynasty. The ancient town has 116 old buildings, bearing the feature of southern Sichuan in Ming and Qing dynasties. They are also the most unscathed building blocks, with distinctive local characteristics. In 2010, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage listed Longhua as the famous Chinese ancient town in the fifth batch. The maintenance and development of Longhua is the priority for this ancient town.
