Since implementing the reform and open policy, there has been a rapid growth inChina’s nation economy, followed by rapid growth in traffic, overloading, partial load andother problems, which raise a serious challenge to the road performance of the roads in use,lots of the road appeared the phenomenon of premature breakage, so it is important tore-examine the seasonal influence coefficient of asphalt pavement deflection.The seasonal influence coefficient of asphalt pavement deflection recommended byspecification come from the test data years ago, which are not suitable for the level of roadconstruction technology of fast growing for now, and the specification in use don’t take intoaccount fully how the seasonal changes and material strength of structural layers changes andthe different detection time of the roads affect the pavement structural strength and roadsurface deflection. For this reason, after research, this paper raise the research method and therange of the asphalt road surface deflection seasonal influence coefficient, which is in linewith the actual project, and can provide a reference to the highway engineering design andtesting.This paper makes a third natural division based on the national second natural divisionin Liaoning. Unit in the third division, this paper gives a research to the affect that thesubgrade soil, degree of compaction, water content, freeze-thaw cycle, and other factors acton the Liaoning subgrade resilient modulus, and we get the most important factor that affectsthe subgrade resilient modulus along with the change of season. This paper raises the typicalpavement structure in Liaoning, after fully studied the common types of pavement materialsand pavement. This paper research the seasonal changes in subgrade water content of sometest road in Liaoning after monitoring the test road data, and derive a correlation betweenwater content, subgrade resilient modulus and the road surface deflection, obtain with theseasonal variation of subgrade water content, subgrade resilient modulus and the road surfacedeflection; After the comparison and revise with the measured deflection data, this paperraised the recommended range of the seasonal influence coefficient of asphalt pavementdeflection of the division the test road located, to supply a new method of researchingseasonal influence coefficient of asphalt pavement deflection for other divisions.The research of this paper based on the water content and surface deflection data of thirddivision of Liaoning, raised research method and recommended range of the seasonalinfluence coefficient of asphalt pavement deflection which are consistent with engineeringpractice and consistent with regulatory requirements. The results can guide the design andtesting of highway projects.
