Double-tower-connected structures is a structure system of tall buildings,which is formed by two towers standing alone that are joined byconnected-structure installed some fixed height. Under the earthquake towerswhich vibrate severally if there is no connective structures occur interactingbecause of the connection. Their responses are more complex than that of asingle tower or twin towers without the connective structure. Vibration couplingand torsion increasing will occur. The Paper makes a more systemic deep andfull research on the double-tower-connected structures based on the example ofengineering, which applies the famous software SATWE. The researchconsists of several parts which are listed below.Firstly, by computing and analyzing double-tower-connected structure ascompared with non-connected structure, it comes a conclusion that it mustconsider the influence of higher vibration modes and coupling torque oncedouble-tower-structure is installed the connection.Secondly, the pattern of connection between the connection anddouble-tower of rein-forced concrete has influences on the loading of thestructure. It indicates that, for symmetrical connective structures the pattern ofconnection has little impact on the whole structure. The connection cancoordinate deformation and loading of two towers. The whole structure is safebecause earthquake forces are offset between two towers. For asymmetricstructures, the whole structure takes place the overall vibration, and the twotowers take place vibration around its stiffness center. The structure is quite negative.Thirdly, there are some rules about the influence of the position ofconnection on the double-tower-connected structure. In the x direction under theeffect of horizontal seismic, as the location of the connected-structure is up, themaximum displacement of the top gradually reduces. And as the location of theconnected-structure is down, the structure formation gradually irregular, thevibration torsion components gradually increased. So connecting body at the topof the tensional structure is more favorable.In the end, some conclusion is concluded. Double-tower-connected structuresshould use symmetry, and connected-structure at the top is the most favorable.
