Aircraft carrier landing is one of the most important tasks for pilot due to the limiteddistance, carrier motion and the disturbance of the wind from the stern of the carrier. So it isnecessary to establish the pilot model in the final approach. In the current work, the researchis on the pilot model by analyzing the multi-loop systems characteristics and the environmentcharacteristics for the aircraft landing.Firstly, the work which aircraft carrier landing techniques and pilot modeling have beendeveloped in history is summarized for clarifying the pilot model and environment model. The carrier motion model, ideal ramp model and atmospheric disturbance model can beestablished. The linearized aircraft model can be acquired by using small-disturbance model. The controlled object of the pilot consists of the fly-control-system model, actuatorcharacteristic model and aircraft model. Power approach compensation systems (APCS:Approach Power Compensator System)are exploited to get the tradeoff between the workloadof the pilot and the instability of the flight path control.Secondly, In light of the classical control theory, pilot tracking model pertain to longitudetask is proposed. This pilot tracking model exploits the multi-loop model presented by RonaldHess which take on inner loop and outer loop. The parameters of the tracking model can begot through human pilot control model frequency spectrum analysis. The results show that themodel proposed in this work has a good effect on modifying flight path. The pilot modelbased on intelligent control theory (ANFIS: Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System) isestablished. The model can be trained by hybrid arithmetic. The model based on data trainingmethodology can be applied into modifying flight path in the final approach. Finally, the research is on the response of pilot model acting on the aircraft carriermotion and atmospheric disturbance according to the special scenario. It is efficient toestablish the modified pilot model to reduce the tracking error resulting from atmosphericdisturbance by further experimental knowledge. The effects can be evaluated according to theassessed statistic after simulating for many times. So the pilot model modeled in the currentwork is proved to be available in this paper.
