Pipe-jacking construction is a trenchless technology of underground pipeline laying. It has advantage of good quality, rapid progress, lower total cost, little dis-turb to the traffic, environment friendly and can go through the ground obstacles in the earth. Selecting the reasonable influence factors and evaluating the degree of adaptability scientifically is the key to the successful application for the pipe-jacking construction. Currently, the domestic research on the adaptability for the pipe-jacking construction focus on soil strata, it is difficult to evaluate degree of the adaptability for the pipe-jacking construction scientifically, full-scaly and reasonably.The development states of pipe-jacking construction at home and abroad, the current status of pipe-jacking technology application in Hefei area are analyzed. Several general methods of pipe-jacking construction and their cost are introduced briefly. Basing on the feathers of pipe-jacking construction, analyze the existing influence factors during the progress. The index system of adaptability for the pipe-jacking construction is established. Analytical hierarchy progress (AHP), Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and Fuzzy analytical hierarchy progress (FAHP) are used as models for the adaptability Evaluation for the Pipe-Jacking Construc-tion. Combining with the typical soil material and the condition of construction in Hefei, evaluate the adaptability for the pipe-jacking. Basing on the result of AHP evaluation, it indicated that the compression deformation, safety and the impact on the environment are the first three influence factors for the evaluation the adapta-bility for the pipe-jacking in Hefei. The rest indexes are taken into consideration by the weight descending for the total target in turn. It is adaptive for adopting pipe-jacking in Hefei by the comprehensive calculation of Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and FAHP, which can be taken as reference for the scheme selection of pipe-jacking construction in Hefei of future.
