The great development and advancement of China economy and society, especially of the international trade and shipping industry, challenge China maritime search and rescue system. But at present, there are some deficiencies in maritime search and rescue system of our country. As a result, maritime search and rescue system needs more attentions, investments and prompt improvements. This article probed into the existing maritime search and rescue and applies the system engineering theory, figured out those elements affecting the adaptability of maritime search and rescue system and set up the evaluation indicator system of adaptability comprehensive evaluation on maritime search and rescue by consulting experts and scholars.Based on investigations and widespread inquiries from relative authorities and expertise, a novel evaluation method for search and rescue system adaptability based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and fuzzy inference was set up; and by using fuzzy methods, the search and rescue system adaptability was analyzed and evaluated specifically.The research of this article is useful in enforcement of maritime search and rescue system of our country and provides as reference to the relative authorities for their policy-making.
