Nowadays the competition between companies has become much fiercer, if thecompanies want to survive in this word, they have to satisfy the high requirement of theclients. For the small lot manufacture, a quick design and quotation has been required. Soobviously researching this field is meaningful.This paper mainly researches the lubricating system of engine, it is considered as apart of heat management. And analyses the process of the heating transfer, puts on themodel of heating transfer for parts of the system, then design the lubricating system indetail. After this, the system has been divided into different parts based onmodularization design because of different functions. Then make them standardizing,generalizing, serializing through parametric design to realize the quick design. Thenanalyse the structure of the cost and put on the model of cost estimating. The oil pumphas been calculated based on these models and get a good result.Through the researches above, a quotation system has been developed on theplatform of VS2005, and use C#programming language for the software, the data used forthe system has been put in the Microsoft Office Access2003which is a databasemanagement developed by Microsoft. Then connect AutoCAD to realize parametricdesign. This system can be used for a big range of power and select the right oil pump andother component. So it can reduce the time of product design and estimating cost andmake the company and clients make a good decision according to the result.At last, take the engine12150L as an example, show the parts of the system’sfunction and estimate the cost of the oil pump.
