At present, the population of motorcycles in china is increasing and meanwhilecausing very serious pollution to the living environment of human though the easyaccess and low cost of the motorcycles brought tremendous convenience to the life ofpeople. So China Ⅲ motorcycle emission regulations were issued with strict emissionrequirements, and the motorcycle fuel evaporative emission was limited with the valueof2g/test. There is a big difference between the motorcycles produced in China andthe motorcycles produced in Europe and America. The manufactures of themotorcycles in China are lack of the fuel evaporative emission control, the design anddevelopment of activated carbon canister. The motorcycles with the fuel evaporativeemission control system brought many disadvantages, for example, the high cost, andthe failed fuel steam collecting design, which made the fuel evaporative pipe andactivated carbon canister putting in mass liquid fuel. Also the inside of tank couldn’tlet in air on the downgrade running and the misfire of the motorcycle could be easilyoccured. In addition, the control technology of the electronic fuel injection could notbeen applied in motorcycles. So the manufacture of the motorcycles need to design themotorcycle with the fuel evaporative emission control again, especially, the activatedcarbon canister and the choice of purge control strategy. In a word, the control systemhad advantages of the low cost and wide application.The main content of this thesis is to encircle the disadvantages of the present fuelevaporative emission control system to carry out the research. Firstly, it is stated thatthe fuel steam collecting should be designed reasonably, including the design andinstallation of the liquid fuel and fuel c separator, the choice of fuel pipe material, thefuel steam filter of plastic tank. It had proved it successful by experimentation.Secondly, it is stated to carefully analyze the impact of a variety of key factors ofcanister performance, so as to find out the law of key parameters of activated canisterperformance, which has guidance to the development, design and production of themotorcycle activated carbon canister. Finally, it has successfully designed a smaller,suitable motorcycle activated canister which could meet motorcycle fuel evaporativeemission regulations promulgated; built the fuel steam mass of heated tank; the optimize of purge control strategy. All in all, it have formed a technical、low-costadvantage project. In a word, not only the design of motorcycle fuel evaporativeemission control has solved bad phenomena, but also reduced the changed cost andachieve largely economy benefit. It had guidance to design the new motorcycle fuelevaporative emission control.
