The impact roller have a greater potential advantages in the field of heavy compaction,while balance the impact roller on the basis of maintaining good compaction characteristics ofthe traditional impact roller, basically overcome the shortcomings in the construction. Threeside-arc balanced impact roller compaction in the original foundation and reinforcementcompaction effect in the compaction of construction has been confirmed by test data. In orderto balance the impact roller of the serialization of products, and compacted surface roughnessto meet the construction requirements, useing and construction process more convenient andsimple, there should study five-sided arc balanced impact roller experimental on thecompaction of the roadbed of the overlay.The article is based on “The basic principles of the mechanical design of energy-saving”.At first, comparative analysis the three-side arc, four-side arc, five-sided arc and six-side arcbalance impact roller compacted roadbed slap points, getting better compaction of thesurface of the conclusion is the five-sided arc balanced impact roller compacted subgrade;Secondly, three-side arc and five-sided arc balanced impact roller traction performance wereanalyzed, the five-sided arc balanced impact roller can not only meet its working speed inZL50loader traction requirements, but also so that the loader traction performance to give fullplay to the conclusion. To make the maximum outer diameter (φ=2010mm) of five-sided arcimpact wheel is constant, getting larger impact energy. The maximum energy-saving rate is24%. Finally, five-sided arc impact roller will be modeling in three software of PRO/E, thenassembly the whole entity imported into the simulation software ADAMS. Simulationanalysis the changes in characteristics of five-sided arc balanced impact roller traction, andthe relationship between the slap point and traction with traction speed. Combination themachine with ZL50loader could meet construction requirements and good energy savingeffect of conclusion. It is detailed to further research production and layer compactiontechnology of five side arc balance impact roller, which provides valuable reference material.
