Screed unit is the core working mechanism of asphalt paver, which is made of tamper, vibrator and the body of screed. The tamper is installed in front of screed, which has animpact of pre-compaction on the Asphalt Mixture; The vibrator is located in the center ofmass of screed, which has an impact of vibrating compaction and leveling asphaltmixture.Tamper and vibrator are important parts of screed which play a decisive role incharacteristic of screed and quality of paving. It will have effect which can’t be neglect on two working mechanisms that tamper andvibrator operate meanwhile. When considering paving effects of paver, it makes strictdemands on smoothness of pavement firstly. It will have effect on smoothness of pavementthat tamper works unsynchronized. Reaching the influence of vibration of the tamper will bethe core content12m mechanical-widened paver domestic manufacturer is the study subject in this thesis. This paper adopts the study method which combining theoretical analysis and experimentalresearch with simulation analysis, build12m screed by means of3D modeling softwarePro/Engineer, and import into simulation software ADAMS. The dynamic analysis isperformed for the motion process of the system. This paper makes simulation study toparameters of mechanism of screed, and analyzes the simulation results. To verify the correctness of the simulation results, we test the12m paver on the baseof simulation, contrasting test results of9m prototype and12m prototype combined withsimulation results and testing results, summarize the influence law of tamper onvibrator. When oscillating frequency of tamper ranging from10Hz to15Hz, vibrating strokeadopting6mm,adjacent phase difference adopting180°,tamper has the least influence onvibrator. This paper makes optimization that unchanged stroke and equal amplitude designsfor structure of tamper and vibrator according to the analysis results. Through the simulationanalysis of the digital model, the correctness of the improvement suggestion verified, overallperformance of the paver improved with optimization designs.
