Greenhouse gas can rise the temperature of the earth’s surface and the sea level, and evencause bad weather, which bring serious threats to the ecological environment and humansurvival and development.,therefore,it is very important to reduce the greenhouse gasemission. The position of the Highway construction gradually strengthened in the nationaleconomy,it promoted and pulled the development of national economy. Recent years, theinvestment in highway construction makes great contribution to the increase of our GDP,which accounted for2.61%of GDP in2010. With the rapid development of highwayconstruction, the proportion of cement concrete pavement in the all types of pavements willincrease gradually, its construction process emiss a lot of greenhouse gas, which is a greatdamage for the resources、energy consumption and environment, but in the field of highway, the research on greenhouse gas emission is at the beginning stage. Therefore, the researchhave an important meaning to the sustainable development of the cement concrete pavement. On the basis of the analysis of the cement concrete pavement’s construction process, thepaper definite the greenhouse gas emission sources and types of gas emission of each rawmaterials (such as aggregate, cement, steel)and construction processing of the cementconcrete pavement, then statistic energy investment and material consumption related tocement concrete pavement by inventory analysis.According to the different emission sources, the paper put forward the different calculation methods of greenhouse gas,and combined witha highway construction case for quantitative calculation. The conclusions from this researchis:in three stages of the cement concrete pavement, the raw material production stage is themost emission, second is the concrete production stage, emissions of site construction stage isat least.
