Turntable is the key equipment for semi-physical simulation and test in aerospace fieldsand plays a very important role in the course of the development of vehicle. The performancequality of turntables is directly related to the reliability of simulation experiment and is thebasis that ensure performance and accuracy of the aerospace products and weapon systems.As the high precision motion simulation equipments, turntable machinery structure andmechanical properties directly affect the accuracy of the dynamic simulation. Therefore, in theresearch stage analyzing turntable structure’s static and dynamic characteristics is veryimportant.Firstly, the basic parameters of the turntable, angle measuring principle, the test ofdynamic angle measuring precision, the working principle of the control system and PIDalgorithm are briefly introduced in this thesis. Secondly I design turntable’s general structureby using3D design software Pro/E and then make the simplified model into finite elementmodels by using finite element software ANSYS. Thirdly I calculate the imposed load on theturntable and use ANSYS software to make statics, dynamics and modality analysis. Throughthe simulation results, the defects of the structure design could be found out. Finally theimprovement projects of turntable’s structure are drawn up and will be simulation analyzed tomeet design requirements.
