With the development of modern traffic, higher requirement have been put to asphaltpavement, thus common asphalt has been difficult to meet the requirement of high gradehighway, we must carry on the processing to improve its performance.Honeywell TitanTM(short for Hon)modifier not only can effectively improve the high temperature ofbitumen, but also can reduce the performance of SBS modified asphalt viscosity, Hon and SBSmodifier have different effection on high and low temperature performance of asphalt, makefull use of the features and advantages of the modified agents, the modifier betweencomplement each other, avoid the limitations of the single modification. This paper chooses two different oil sources of matrix asphalts, two kinds of Honmodifiers and two kinds of different structure types of SBS modifirs, processing modifiedasphalt accorded to the different proportion. Research SBS/Honeywell TitanTMcompositemodified asphalt interaction mechanism of Hon,SBS and matrix asphalt at differentstates. The paper analyzes Hon modifier, SBS structure types and matrix asphalt influence onhigh/low temperature performances, temperature sensitivity and storage stability of compositemodified asphalt, throughing softening point tests, ductility tests, needle penetration testssegregation tests and SHRP tests. In force ductility tests, using energy ratio W2/W1to evaluate low temperature performance of composite modified asphalt.Resaults show that Hon modifiers can effectively improve high temperatureperformances, temperature sensitivity and storage stability, meantime, Hon modifiers can alsoeffectively reduce viscosity of SBS modified asphalt and viscosity of temperature sensitivity. Energy ratio W2/W1can real react low temperature performance of asphalt, and having verygood consistency with Low-temperature bending rheological tests.
