Southern region has humid and rainy climate,on the asphalt requirements are very stringent.High viscosity modified asphalt has good high temperature performance and aggregate coatability,is a very promising class of modified asphalt type in the future.In order to understand and reveal the technical performance characteristics of high viscosity modified asphalt,and master the key technical indicators to understand the applicability of the relevant construction technology,the paper study on preparation and properties of high viscosity modified asphalt.First of all obtained high viscosity modified asphalt formulation by Laboratory test and pilot production,preparation obtained industrialization;Secondly by SM(SBS modified bitumen),SPM(SBS + plasticizer modified asphalt)and SPCM(SBS+ by plasticizer + crosslinker modified bitumen)rheological performance tests and microscopic morphology,revealing the effect of plasticizer and crosslinker in the SBS modified asphalt;Homemade and three commercially available high viscosity modified asphalt road performance testing,in-depth understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of self-made high-viscosity modified asphalt,while the four high-viscosity bitumen foaming test,get the best foaming parameters revealed relationship between foaming properties and physical properties;final foam asphalt road to study performance.Specific research conclusions are as follows:By studying the physical properties of SBS modified bitumen find,its softening point,motive viscosity toughness and tenacity meet the technical requirements of the high viscosity of the pitch,but its poor anti-aging properties and storage stability as well as 135? rotational viscosity is too large.By adding plasticizers and crosslinker can significantly improve the above problems.At the same time through pilot production,comparison,the proposed process is suitable for the production of asphalt products,officially put into operation.For SM,SPM and SPCM rheological properties tests and morphology observation,the results showed that plasticizer can disperse SBS particle fully.Crosslinking agent can form polymer network structure,significantly improve the anti-aging properties and storage stability of modified asphalt.Of homemade high viscosity asphalt and commercially available products viscous asphalt binder for road use performance analysis,the results show that the homemade high viscosity asphalt performance of high temperature and low temperature performance is superior,and poor fatigue resistance performance.In order to understand the construction workability of high viscosity modified asphalt and foamed asphalt.Firstly,foam ability tests of homemade and commercially available products high viscosity asphalt are carried out,Results show that the high viscosity asphalt foaming need higher temperature,is about 180 ?,at the same time,we can know that the high viscosity asphalt foaming performance has the correlation with 135 ? rotary viscometer.As well as the workability test found that foaming the high viscosity modified asphalt can significantly improve the mixture workability of the construction.Based on above research show that Homemade high viscosity modified asphalt has better high temperature performance and wrapped by aggregate performance,the specific performance:motive viscosity is about 105 Pa·s,softening point is 88.8 ?,toughness is 26.2 N·m,tenacity is 21.1 N m,At the same time research show that foamed bitumen can significantly improve the high viscosity modified asphalt mixture workability,Hot mix asphalt foam mixture improved by about 20%,Foamed asphalt warm mix improved by about 10%.Based on the above,we can provide a reference for the southern region of high viscosity modified asphalt production and use.
