Energy efficient masonry is consisted of autoclaved aerated concrete brick and insulation mortar, the new kind of structure has a lot of advantages: it’s self-possessed lightly, energy efficient, convenient to process. However it needs to study the new kind of structure through experiment and theory to make the energy efficient masonry main wall, so that the main wall be energy efficient. This paper would study the energy efficient masonry through the4aspects as follows:1.The compression test to the autoclaved aerated concrete brick and insulation mortar has been done to study their compressive strength;2.The compression test to the energy efficient masonry be done to study its compressive strength and modulus of elasticity and compressive strength be obtained, thus it is gained that the structure can be built up to3layers; the shear strength test be done to get the mean shear strength of the energy efficient masonry with no vertical pressure, the result shows that the shear strength is equal to the fired common brick masonry with M7.5mortar.3.The compressive shear strength test to the7groups of21pieces of energy efficient masonry has been done, then the compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity of the species be obtained according the test results; the stress-strain curves of them be proposed; the shear strength formula of the energy efficient masonry under compressive-shear loads be proposed.4.According to the position of cracks appeared in the masonry, it is thought that the vertical mortar joint not to be considered on the condition that it is hard to make sure that the vertical mortar joint be well distributed. Thus a mechanics model be established, the block is considered as a elastic foundation beam, the middle of the beam be hang the air, but the two ends is elastic supported.Through calculating the cracking strength formulas of masonry be proposed, the computed results agree well with the test results in other papers.
