The iron and steel plant of the city is an important base of steel industry in ourcity.NO.3blast furnace produces amount of the grass solid waste. The blast furnace slag isnearly50%of the gross solid waste in steel industry. The blast furnace slag is a silicatematerial of many applications. So, it is very necessary to recover for the blast furnace slag.The design is based on the back ground of the granulated blast furnace slag.A network monitoring system unified by wired and wireless for granulated blastfurnace slag was designed. This paper introduces complete design project, systemcomposition, structure of network and realizable way of monitor and control system forgranulated blast furnace slag based on Modbus and GPRS. The monitoring system realizedthe communication of field equipments and monitoring PC through Modbus and GPRS. Itgives technical support to design of the similar monitoring and control system[1].The design and implementation of distribution Monitoring system has been describedparticularly in this thesis. It analyses relevance of the subject, and designed a completeSCADA system. Modbus and Profibus-DP field-buses have been used in this paper. Modbusis used mainly and Profibus-DP is secondary. The Modbus network is built between S7-200and kinds of intelligent equipments.S7-200PLC can collect the data from field instrument,then, these data collected is transmitted to the upper monitoring center by the MD720-3which is the module of the GPRS. Part of the device does not support the Modbus protocol,hang directly on the Profibus-DP, sends the data to the S7-300PLC, and then passed to S7-200PLC.The upper computer of monitoring center uses WinCC which was developed by theSinmens as the configuration tool to show user intuitive that including production data andalarm information, by configurating a series of typical interface, and designing variables todeal with field data and archive, designing alarm monitor and archive, designing operation ofremote controlling and so on. It is intuitive to monitor all kings of electricity parameters andoperation from intelligent equipments on the WinCC interface. The SCADA system which isconstituted realizes the remote control, reduces the incidence of accident and promotes therealization of the unattended.
