The urban transportation system is a huge and complex system. With the acceleratedprocess of urbanization, urban transport demand is growing rapidly, the impact of trafficcongestion and other traffic problems is increasing. In order to solve the traffic conflicts,Most countries on the world built the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Urban trafficcontrol and traffic flow guidance is the most important of the two subsystems, the two’scollaboration is an important research content of the modern traffic management, and it is oneof the important research content of the new generation of intelligent traffic control system.In This paper mainly studies cooperation of large-scale traffic control and traffic flowguidance and synergies to determine the opportunity.This article first reviewed the traffic control and the transportation inductioncoordination in the domestic and foreign historical development and the research presentsituation. And it summarizes the models and algorithms for traffic control and inducedsynergistic at home and abroad.With analyzed the urban traffic control and traffic flowguidance system,this paper analysis the characteristics and the target of a wide range of trafficcontrol and traffic flow guidance collaborative.Then Proposed a traffic control and trafficflow guidance synergy strategy created a synergy model based on big system hierarchicalcontrol theory after summarized and analyzed the existing model and algorithm of trafficcontrol and traffic flow guidance synergy.Finally,the paper to the work which did has carried on the summary, has analyzed theprogress which and the achievement the research institute obtained, and question whichdiscovered according to the research, had pointed out waits for direction which furtherstudied.
