Since the1990s, long-span suspension bridge-one type of strongest capability of spanin all bridges has begun to develop rapidly. At present, as the great development of China’seconomy, self-anchored suspension bridges as a kind of medium-span and beautiful bridgewill be used more and more in the future.Under the background of Jiangdong Bridge, this paper investigated the successfulconstruction experience applied in similar bridges at home and abroad and studied the keyconstruction technology on multiple points curve successively incremental launchingmethod for huge temporary structures and steel box girders’ thrusting method for the upperstructure in self-anchored suspension bridges in strong bore section. The method solvedtechnical problem of the first design at home that the whole bridge’s steel box girder wasdivided into five longitudinal continuous “S” curve segments. At the same time, this paperproposed designing indices, design methods and construction methods for huge temporarystructures such as push platforms, temporary piers, steel guide beams and so on, gainedsteel box beam swing and integration technology, multiple points pushing tractiontechnology, linear-control technology in thrusting case. Finally, those form a systematictheory system. The results of this paper filled in the gaps in China that multiple-curve incrementallaunching method for self-anchored suspension bridge with spatial cable. Moreover, thatwill promote the progress and provide references for popularizing and applying theconstruction technology in such type bridges.
