| Superpave HMA is a new type mixture, it has developed along with the incessantdevelopment of highway disease increasingly serious, such as high temperature rut, lowtemperature crack and water damage. But it is more difficult compaction and eay appearssegregationin the construction process, and then it influences the road quality andperformance. At present, the construction quality control of this special mixture has not yetdeeply studied in China. Therefore, the standard construction process and quality control ofSuperpave HMA has deeply carried out in this paper, it has an important practical significanceto promote the wide application of Superpave HMA.After the surface material type and disease type of SMA and Superpave HMA aresurveyed, the common disease characteristics of asphalt pavement are analyzed, and theinfluence factors of rutting, cracks, and water damage are systematically analyzed, then it haspointed out that the segregation is one of the main influence factors in the asphalt pavement.Therefore, it muse be strictly controlled the segregation to ensure the asphalt pavementquality.On the analysis of the generation mechanism of aggregate segregation, temperaturesegregation and rolling generating, the road performance of porosity is analyzed, such aswater coefficient, rutting, strength and the water stability, and then it has pointed out that theproper porosity could reduce the segregation degree during the Superpave HMA construction.The performance technical requirements of asphalt, aggregate, and slag are deeplystudied, and the mix design of Superpave HMA is analyzed from the target mix design,production mix design and production mix verification. After the mixture mixing,transportation, paving, rolling and forming, and construction quality detection are analyzed,the standard construction technology is proposed.Combined with the support project, the construction technology of Superpave HMA isstudied mainly from the mix design, the mixture mixing, transportation, paving, rolling, etc.And then the prevention and control measures of aggregate segregation, temperaturesegregation and rolling segregation are proposed to ensure the pavement construction quality. |
