Research On The Presence Theory And Design Strategies Of Contemporary Architectural Materials

In the study of architecture,the material presence is an importantissue.Traditionally the importance of the theme is coming form thediscussion of presence in essence of architecture.Today,the theme of mydissertation is to criticize the performance of material in the field of chinaarchitectural design in which many architects regard the materialpresence as an fashion design like media perform.lt is the duty forarchitects to do better.Based on the theory of modern Western architecture,from the pointsof presence of material and critical regionalism,I hope to find the answerand get the strategy to make a better design of presence of material forlocal china building.Firstly,based on the theory of critical regionalism, from the points ofBekleidung theory from Gottfried Semper and Raumplan theory fromAdolf Loos,it is critical for me to study the relationship between material and space,material and time,and how to do a better presence of materialfor the tectonic of local building.I hope to get strategy and means to do a better design of the presenceof material form my honest study.
