The power industry is the pillar industry in national economy.Power supply is oneof the basic guarantees of the whole social production and people lives. Providingcontinuous power supply service and reducing operating cost is a pair of contradictoryproblem. With the advancement of the electricity grid modernized transformation andrealization of substation integrated automation scheduling, many substations havebecome the unattended or only a gatekeepers substation,and the schedulingmanagements of the substations with substation equipment are all concentrated todispatch center. Therefore, the substation equipment (fans, air conditioning, etc.) andenvironmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, smoke, staff intrusion, excessiveconcentration of sulfur hexafluoride, etc.) of the unmanned sibstation have becomeproblems to be solved.This paper introduces the design and implementation for substation auxiliaryequipment and environment monitoring system based on the mapxtreme and.netplatform. This system consists of centralized control substation server, substation client,substation fieldbus and auxiliary facilities signal acquisition equipment structure.System uses object-oriented technology, database technology, the thread pooltechnology, GIS technology,3d simulation technology to realize data acquisition,abnormal alarm, remote video monitoring and equipment linkage, substation positiondisplay and3D simulation. System adopts the RS-485fieldbus and monitoringequipment to communicate, uses OPC protocol and embedded data collector based onARM9to exchange data.It uses a dedicated connection for network connectivity, andredundant server configuration and periodically database backups to guarantee systemsafe and reliable operation.The successful tests run of substation auxiliary facilities and environmentalmonitoring systems have made a strong exploration for the realization of unattendedsubstation.
