Living hot water energy consumption is an important component of building energy consumption and has taken some proportions in total energy consumption of our national economy. With the improvement of people’s living standard, the requirement of living hot water will become more and more. Traditional preparation method of hot water like the boiler which use coal, oil or gas as a fuel will consume a lot of fossil fuel and also pollute the environment seriously. Solar energy as the one kind of inexhaustible energy, its technology application of solar hot water system can be used to supply domestic hot water, which can significantly save fuel costs, reduce the pollution of the environment and realize the sustainable development of the energy structure of building.Based on Wuhan city, this paper investigate and evaluate the technology rationality and economic feasibility of the solar water heating system to analysis its technology status from three aspects:the initial cost analysis, energy consumption analysis and economic analysis, therefore analysing its economic benefit and future developments and putting forward the conclusions of considerable economic capability of solar water heating system and relevant policy suggestions for development.This paper firsty introduced the principle of solar water heating system. Mainly includes its composition, operation mode and heating form, and in the aspects of heating form, this part analyzes the technical characteristics of three heating forms which are the concentrated heating system, the concentrated-individual heating system and balcony wall heating system; Secondly, elaborated economic evaluation theory and method of solar water heating system. Proposed the economic evaluation process of the solar water heating system and methods of energy consumption,with economic evaluation theory and evaluation indexes, analyses the life-cycle economic effect of the solar water heating system which the evaluation indexes includes Static Payback Period, Dynamic Investment Pay-back Period, Net Present Value, Net Annual Value and Synthetic Energy Price; Thirdly, took case reasearch and initial cost analysis of solar water heating system. Through the investigation of technical and economic data of nine cases of solar water heating system in Wuhan, this part analyzes the equipment composition and cost of the solar water heating system and correlations among initial cost, building area, units investment, unit area cost, investment difference and unit investment difference, concludes that the project of solar water heating system which its building area between5,000to20,0000square meters will acquire the lowest unite area cost and the best investment effect; Lastly, took comprehensive analysis and evaluation. Calculates the energy consumption and evaluates economical efficiency of these nine cases, analysis the energy efficiency and environmental protection benefits and economic benefits, concludes that the unit solar collector area coal conservation maintains the level of0.0638t/m’ and the economical efficiency of solar water heating system is superior to the traditional hot water system.
