Research On Spatial Distribution Characteristics And Quality Evaluation Of Urban Recreation Space In Hefei

As an important part of city space, urban recreation space undertakes important responsibility to improve people’s quality of life. Hefei has rich urban recreation resources and a sound foundation for development. During the "Eleventh Five-Year" period, the urban recreation space construction has made great achievements. However, the development of Hefei urban recreation space is only at the stage of natural growth, and urgently requires more rational thinking and strategic panning. In future development, how to achieve the coupling between the structure of unban recreation space and urban morphology, structure, and function, and how to maintain Hefei urban recreation space its own characteristics and improve the overall quality of city recreation space become the key to the sustainable urban development. In order to guide the development of Hefei urban recreation space, it is very important to define the types, study the spatial distribution characteristics and evaluate the quality of Hefei urban recreation space, and then propose reasonable development patterns and quality optimization countermeasures.This topic has studied the spatial distribution characteristics and quality of Hefei urban recreation space based on the theories and methods of related disciplines by taking a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. First, the types of Hefei urban recreation space is defined based on the recreation concept analysis and the review and summary of domestic and foreign scholars’ theoretical and empirical studies. The object of the study is focused on Hefei central urban area (including suburban areas, but not including suburban counties) large-scale urban outdoor space for recreation and public open space. Secondly, it has been found that Hefei urban recreation space spatially show the characteristic of "One core, two belts, three districts and multi-points" according to the study of spatial distribution characteristics based on the analyses of aggregation and equilibrium degree. Furthermore, comprehensive evaluation using the methods of AHP, questionnaire survey, Delphi et al. shows that the spatial quality of Hefei urban recreation space falls in the middle level, and that its spatial quality is mainly based on special resources, but lack of overall consideration featuring "Large dispersion without focus, small concentration without integration". Finally,"Triple-Core, One-Loop, Five-Belt" development roadmap and quality optimization countermeasure of improving attraction, strengthening vitality and expanding capacity have been proposed.By presenting the case study of spatial distribution characteristics and quality evaluation of Hefei urban recreation space, it is our hope to enrich the methodology to study domestic urban recreation space and to provide empirical reference for other areas in developing urban recreation space.
