Currently in the designing of light steel structures, profile sheets are still used as sheathing of the building. Howevejf proper connections are made between the profil-ed steel sheets and members.the sheets can resist shear force in their own plane and can be work together with the structures,which not only increase the whole rigidity of structure, but also as an important part of main body. This kind of behavior of profile sheets is named the stressed skin diaphragm.Considering its influence on the perfor-mance of the structure as a whole reflect the working of strurcture really and has con-sideable economic advantage as well.As such it is significant and practical to develop systemic investigation on the stressed skin diaphragm in the lihgt-gauge steel structur-es.The was summarize and analyze the findings that made by the previously experts and scholars,while there was hardly any research and experiment on the buildings with the dynamic analysis of the multi-layer structure as a whole.this paper studies on this aspect. First, the constituent components of the skin structure was established the rational finite elements stiffness analysis, the element stiffness matrix of the overall structure was established. Then, the establishment the appropriate finite element mod-el of the multi-layer overall structure was established, the structural dynamic analysis-mend of this model under the were considered whether had the skin action. The dyna-mic performance analysismend of the overall structure, including: modal analysis-mend, response spectrum analysismend and time history analysismend. to summarize and analyze the results obtained in the last, the skin action can change the stress state of the structure, the stressed skin action reduces the deformation of loaded structure and increases the stiffness of the whole buildings obviously.
