The economy of China has made great achievements and the real estate industry has seen rapiddevelopment since China put in great effort to develop economy and carry out the reform and opening uppolicy. However, the city’s rapid pace of life not only compresses the city sky, but also compresses our landresources. Many " unfinishedbuildings " have appeared in many Chinese cities. Each " unfinishedbuilding" is a monument that bears witness to Chinese economic fluctuation and real estate foam. Those areblack monuments which take huge manpower, material and financial resources to make! The appearanceof a large number of these " unfinishedbuilding " presents us the problems as to how to restart the "unfinishedbuilding " and how to continue structural design. The recycle of " unfinishedbuilding " canachieve remarkable economic and social benefit. The building functional requirements and facade style have been different in different periods."unfinishedbuilding" renewal projects often require alteration of the building function and redesign of thebuilding facade. The standards of the structural design have a new version every few years; compared toolder standards, the requirement of the specifications also become more and more strict and more and moreconservative, especially along with the improvement of economy. The "unfinishedbuilding " often maybe designed on the basics of the older version of the standard, whereas the reconstruction of these buildingswill need to follow the newer changed version, with standard changed either once or many times. Forstructure design, this warrants the need for a complete review from basic to the main structure. The paper discusses systematically the goal, the steps and methods of the " unfinishedbuilding "reconstruction design, and presents an overall outline guide. This paper also lists the detailed difference intall building design between various2002standards and1989standards. It also analyzes and contrasts thecommonly used methods in reinforcement structure design. It also restates the importance of selecting abetter a proper reinforcement method prior to the “unfinishedbuilding” reconstruction, in order to achievebetter technical and economic effects. This paper focuses on the structure design of Jinglong Pavilion(located in36–40nanti2ma road Yuexiu district Guang zhou)“unfinishedbuilding” reconstruction project.and discusses related structural problems. This paper further details the structure design review, renovation and reinforcement design, analyzes its structure overrun characteristics about jinglong Pavilion project due to the changes of architectural function and architectural facade, roof shape. As both thereconstructed parts and sections under reconstruction adopt different period of structure design standard, this paper carries out in-depth analysis and calculation that involve problems such as the lower structurereinforcement and reconstruction, high-level transfer, shear wall reinforcement ratio, the structure of thetransfer beam, the beam reinforcement ratio and the structure of the beam-column joints, the number ofyear of structural design use fixed, floor open hole, and additional fire stairs. It further analyzes the structurearrangement and structural measures. This paper also summarizes the use of clad steel, stick steel,post-embedded bars, sticking carbon fiber and other technical means in the project. This paper reviews all aspects involved in the structure design of " unfinishedbuilding " reconstructionprojects. It summarizes a variety of methods on dealing with " unfinishedbuilding " structure design.Through the case analysis of the " unfinishedbuilding "of jinglong Pavilion project continued constructionstructure design, this paper aims to provide a reference point for the " unfinishedbuilding " reconstructionstructure design staff.
