When the thermal power unit operation processing, many of the parameters deviated from the design value or some equipment running status change can cause additional energy loss, which lead to the coal rise and the economic benefit decrease. We ignored these factors when these don’t endanger the safety of the unit. What’s more, even though we know some factors on the unit operation will lower the hot economic, we stay on the basis of qualitative analysis and without do the quantitative analysis. All of these caused the unit operation on a high heat rate and low leval. So it is necessary to messure the parameters which caused additional loss. North china electric power plant200MW air-cooled units has operated on high coal consumption since it put into production. In order to reduce the unit operation energy consumption, and find out the influence of the main causes of the high operating energy consumption, we test on the comprehensive performance of unit. So that we can find the best operation model and reduce the energy consumption.As a result achieve the economic efficient operation.This paper bases on Nei Mongol North China electric power plant200MW air-cooled unit introduces the200MW air-cooled unit operation optimization and adjustment of the basic condition of the experiment in detail. This paper gives us the performance test standard, the principle of the test point and test instrument, the test methods and so on. It concludes the the coal consumption change trend in different operating condition through numbers of experiment data analysis and calculation. Compare the hot economic on different operation load and different operation models, it gives the curve of operation. These provide basises of unit energy saving and operation optimization. Practical application showed that the energy saving measures established on the unit operation performance test data can not only monitoring unit operation consumption distribution, but also realize the optimal operation. This provides a guarantee to energy saving of the coal-fired power plant.
