Road construction is a mark of the national economy. The "Twelfth Program" said, China will continue to expand the scale of highway network, making the total length of highway to4.5million kilometers. As road construction developing rapidly good quality asphalt and new technology is required, especially high grade road asphalt materials used in for heavy road. This paper carries out the research of modified asphalt which can meet the need of high grade road construction.This paper analyzed the properties of raw rubber by TGA and PGC-MS. The IR and OCA results show the sulfur key and carbon sulfur key of rubber powder is interrupted, and the surface oxygen group increased. Microwave radiation can improve the performance of the rubber powder modified asphalt.This paper also studies using compatilizer with rich aromatic constituents preliminary swelling waste rubber, and produce modified asphalt with traditional wet process, research effect of the preliminary swelling conditions, rubber oil ratio, powder dosage, solubilizer and additives on the properties of modified asphalt, and at the same time the preliminary swelling for microwave activation powder, and the best process condition:swelling at80℃for24h, powder content20%, rubber oil ratio3:1, SBR content2%. And through the SEM, fluorescence microscope, and other means found that preliminary swelling process can improve compatibility between rubber power and asphalt. and strengthen the stability of CRMA...
