A Case On Exploring Of Planing And Design For Ancient Site Park In Yangzhou City

The ancient site is the witness of the history, the carrier of culture. With thedeveloping knowledge of value, there are more and more ways and methods to protect,recover and develop the ancient site. The kind of development mode of ancient site parkwhich combines site protection, environment beautification, leisure and entertainment havegradually sprung up in the background of rapid urban development. In the city’s expansionprocess, the ancient site park has not only protected the ancient site against disappearancethrough expansion, but also met the pursuit of people for history culture. And both fullycultivate the connotation of historical culture of cities to satisfy the needs of moderncultural life, and can display their unique historical culture well to form the city features.Since the ancient site park is a new kind of city park, the planning and design theory has itsuniqueness compared with general parks. The planning design methods are different basedon diverse values and expressions of the ancient sites. At present, most ancient site parksuse the design of the general city parks which is unfavorable for the protection anddevelopment. With the passage of time and the wide knowledge of the value of sites, therewill be more construction of the site park. So this study of ancient site park focus onrepresentation for the connotation of site culture, the usage, the landscape construction andsuch problems in ancient site parks, to systematically discusses the planning design theoryof ancient site parks, to guide the ancient site park construction, and to provide thereference to the planning and design theories and construction of the site parks.This thesis Use many research methods such as literature collection and analysis,field investigation, case analysis, summarizes etc. Based on the design theory of city park,introducing measures of protecting the ancient site, research of city history and culture andtheories of urban green space system, this thesis systematically study the planning designtheory of ancient site park. It took Yangzhou for example, on the base of Yangzhou ancientsite resources, analyze the development, the construction characteristics and thedevelopment prospect of Yangzhou site parks. According to the characteristics of theancient site park, this thesis establishes the evaluation system to evaluate the resourcesprotection and utilization of ancient site parks and their construction.Based on the researches above, this paper sets up a planning design framework of theancient site park, discussing it from three aspects. The First is the city system planninglevel. According to the value of history and culture in the city and the form of ancient siteto determine the mode of resources protection and development--the feasibility study of the ancient site park. According to ancient site park’s role in the greenland system and itsstatus and role in the planning construction, to set its nature and localization. The Second isthe park planning system. To Analyze the surrounding environment of park, based on thequality and orientation, to formulate the theme of the ancient site park, investigate presentsituation, choose methods of resources utilization, design expression of park’s theme, workout the structure and layout of the park and the plan of road system. Finally is the parkdetailed design. Through the landscape design of ancient site, architecture and sketchdesign, plants design, water design and node point design to construct the theme of ancientsite park and public place.This Paper selects the comprehensive case—Yangzhou Songjiacheng to demonstratethis planning design framework of ancient site park. Through this research, it is hoped togive some suggestions for the construction of site parks of Yangzhou, guide the planningdesign and construction of ancient site parks, and offer new ideas for research on planningdesign and construction of site parks.
