Electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil fan clutch (the following is short forelectromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch) is a new device which makes use of thehigh viscosity characteristic of the silicone oil to transmit torque, and the electroniccontrol to achieve their separation and coupling, as a result, it is widely applied todifferent engine cooling system.In this paper, based on the status of the cooling system of electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch at home and abroad, research is carried out to study itscomposition and principle, the discusses its the structure and working principle indetail! Through the research of performance and performance test of electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch, I put forward the performance index and test method;the power loss factor and the law is obtained by means of theoretical calculation, atlast, it is the basis for the design and optimization of electromagnetic-controlledsilicon oil clutch. Based on the analysis of the influence of working characteristics ofelectromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch, and the radiating rib, the silicone oilclutch drive plate, the cover body for the structure optimization design, we can putforward matching method of the silicone oil viscosity and the amount of the siliconeoil. By analysising controlling the function of control system, I design the controlstrategy module for the control system of engine, water temperature, air temperature,air conditioning fluoride pressure. By use of the C programming language andhardware implementation, the controller design is complete. At length, through theperformance test and vehicle road test, I carried out the test for structure optimizationand control strategy of electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch.It shows that the test results of the optimized structure about electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch in the torque capacity and sensitivity have obvious effect.The proposed controlling strategy in the vehicle is feasible, engine temperature, airtemperature, air conditioning fluoride pressure were maintained in the normal range.The optimized structure and controlling strategy proposed about electromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch in this paper can be widely used in the cooling system ofelectromagnetic-controlled silicon oil clutch.
