Study On The Design Of Multimedia Road Traffic Signs System

At present, the number of vehicles in China is rising sharply and the increasingcomplexity of the construction of the road network, traffic sign information also will beincreased. Face complicated traffic environment as well as poor visibility weather, more andmore the roadside traffic signs at which were set up is not easy to identified by the driver. Themain purpose of the road traffic signs to the driver in front of traffic information, to ensure thesafety of people travel. Faced with these problems, this paper proposes a device in car wascalled” Multimedia Traffic Signs System (MTSS)” can be effective in ensuring trafficinformation accurately informed by the driver.Relying on the theory of Intelligent Transportation Systems through research andanalysis of road traffic signs, propose MTSS concept. Analysis of their effectiveness from theperspective of ergonomics principles, and an example of highway multimedia of this article toexploration of design: the existing traffic signs equipment are often fixed mode, receiving theexternal traffic signs spread mainly through visual; MTSS is a proactive approach frompassive to active, combination of car-related equipment through a variety of ways to help thedriver to accurately and timely receive traffic information. Such a device in the car MTSS cansolve vehicles blocked, traffic information burdensome as well as rain and fog led to missedreading and misreading traffic information, so as to ensure smooth traffic and people travelsafety.This paper’s innovation is put outdoor traffic signs moved into the car through themultimedia dissemination of traffic information, MTSS like seat belts, ABS system and so on,become a car essential to protect the driver safe travel initiative safety devices.
