Induction heating is a kind of induction heating technology, which is to use the method ofelectromagnetic induction heating to make the work-piece internal produces eddy current,depending on the quantity of heat of eddy current heat. Induction heating technology has beenused widely in forging steel, iron and steel heat treatment production.This paper mainly summarizes the content as follows:(1) This topic for induction heating principle carry on the detailed analysis, the inductionheating principle is analysis in this paper, and then eddy current depth and eddy currentchange are deduced in it.(2) The cylindrical work-piece magnetic-thermal coupling finite difference mathematicalmodel is built according to electromagnetic induction heating and temperature field principle.The work-piece is reasonable simplified, the circumferential direction temperature of thework-piece is approximate thought constant, the three dimensional column coordinate modelcan simplify to two dimension model in building the magnetic-thermal coupling mathematicalmodel. The column coordinates differential equation is instead of difference equation, theheating conduction model of all grid point can use the controlling volume method to derive.(3) The radial and axial grids are meshed according to the technical requirement andinduction heating principle. The physical properties of the work-piece and the parameters ofthe numerical simulation of the parameters are introduced in this paper, and the physicalproperties parameters of the work-piece are processed. The end radiation and effect areprocessed with compensation.(4) It uses VisualStudio2008to simulate the work-piece with full power heating sidesurface grid’s temperature to1050oCtemperature and control power to heating thework-piece to target temperature. And simulate the work-piece in the whole process of heattreatment that includes the point from the surface130mm and side surface of the centerpoint’s temperature change. The simulation provides the basis for sensor design, combining with calculation joint technology of sensor design methods were improved.
