In the background of China’s rapid development of wind power technology, windturbine load calculations and strength analysis are directly related to the safety of itsoperation. This paper focuses on the extreme load and fatigue load of3MW wind turbinehub strength on the basis of the extreme load, and provide an effective strength calculationmethod for the design of the hub. Therefore, this study has practical value and academicsignificance analysis of wind turbine.According to the IEC standard3MW wind turbine parametric modeling, normal loadconditions and extreme load cases were based on research and simulation study. Severalimpact of wind turbine load factors were only the tower shadow, wind shear, wake withthree effects are compared. Sensitivity for blade stiffness of the wind turbine changesunder load, flexible multi-body dynamic equations fully coupled wind turbine modeling,and consider generated when the blade rotates aerodynamics, gravity, centrifugal force.Dynamic response characteristics of the analysis blade, mainly consider the aerodynamicdamping of the blade effect. The use of Newmark method for dynamic analysis of windturbine blades calculation, and the dynamic response of the total. Calculate the sensitivityof the load of the blades in different stiffness.During the analysis of the extreme load and fatigue load analysis of extreme load,fatigue load changes due to blade installation angle installation errors obtained fatigue loadis much larger than the increase in the degree of extreme load. In addition, Base on theresearch edgewise and flapwise blade root bending moment extreme load extrapolationmethod of wind turbines, the introduction of the peak over threshold method. Use the twomethods respectively for two typical probability distributions for analysis and comparison.Research shows that the most suitable in the calculation of the extreme load extrapolationmethod is three parameters Weibull distribution of maximum likelihood estimation method,and more extensive relative to the other three methods.Finally, on the hub of the FEM in the case of the extreme load, the blades and hub connection at the stress maximum and verify a3MW wind turbine of the hub and othereffects of force is lower than the hub material’s yield strength, and prove that the structureof the design is full strength requirements.
