Face of increasingly fierce market competition, requiring companies to provide betterproducts, quality, environmental friendliness on the basis of lower costs and shorter lead time,to a good position in the market competition. In the study on the basis of the function andstructure of the bridge crane trolley frame, the idea of adaptable product platform designintroduced into the trolley frame design, basic principles of adaptable product platform designin the trolley frame design are intensively studied, including modeling, interface design andperformance analysis of the adaptable product of trolley frame, detailed discussion the designof parameter adaptable product platform, and establishment of trolley frame product platformsproduct library have been completed. The main contents are as follows:(1)The development status of the bridge crane, theoretical approaches and research statusquo of adaptable design and associated parametric design, modular design, product platformtechnology have all been presented.(2)The theory of adaptable product, adaptable design, adaptable product platform, hasmade a detailed statement. The implementation of the adaptable product platform proposed inaccordance with the corresponding theoretical methods.(3)Conduct adaptable module division of trolley frame products based on functionalanalysis. Adaptable virtual interface of each module in the model assembly have beenproposed. Introduced of step by step modular modeling and modular prepare of APDLlanguage of trolley frame.(4)According to the trolley frame adaptable platform development goals, user rights management, series of variables planning, the detailed analysis of the method of thearchitecture of adoptable product platform, the product library and database constructionmethod have been proposed.(5)Aimed a model of bridge crane frame as an example, to achieve a trolley frameadaptable platform design process, verify the practicality and feasibility of the platform. Andfurther research is envisaged.
