The Study Of The Space Form Of The Miao’s Village At Qiandongnan Guizhou

The Miao national minority has more regional characteristics than orther minoritiy villages in our country, with the building along the hills makes their village fuse in the surrounding. As the villages accelerate the development in recent years, the Miao’s village will face to more Opportunities and challenges. In order to find the impacts to the Miao’s village after the changes of the life style and to find the development mode and direction in future.The paper make a field investigation which uses three typical villages of Guizhou’s Qiandongnan such as Lang De Village, Nan Meng Village and Bao De village, the ways of investigation are data research, comparative research and graphic. The Analysis includes:the natural environment, the History development, the space form, the humanities environment and the use of building materials of the Miao’s village. The results show:Because of the environmental constraints of lacking flat, there are three types of the Miao’s village:location at the foot of the mountain, the mountainside and the peak; Because of the limited space, there is little space for their activity; The Miao’s building has the characteristic of Stilt in order to solve the terrain; The traffic system uses the type of Fishbone and Branch to resolve its internal traffic; The village’s space form is changed by the life style directly. According to the research results, under the condition of the use of new materials and new technology application, if we want to keep the Miao’s village space form during the process of renewal and transformation from losing its traditional characteristics, the key is respecting and understanding the Miao’s culture and their lifestyle. There are three suggestions to keep the sustainable development of villages:respecting the environment and regional characteristics, keeping the village’s spatial pattern and the industrial replacement orderly.Through the study of this subject, it can have a preliminary understanding of the Miao village space form at Guizhou’s Qiandongnan, at the same time provides a possibility for the development of the Miao’s village.
