Research On The Organization Of Transfer In Railway Passenger Terminal

As an available transfer location for various means of traffic, the main function of the terminal is to realize the transfer between the urban traffic and the suburban traffic. The quality of the transfer and join at the terminal is directly influenced the connection and the full role of the traffic in the integrated passenger transport system. To transfer efficiently and rapidly, besides of reasonably configure the resources in the limited field, the terminal needs to harmonize the different traffic modes as a whole. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to research on the transfer organizing in the terminal.Based on the terminal basic theory, after defining the terminal, specifying the functions, the paper discusses the development of the terminals and analyses the aim of the transfer, the principles, the layout, the properties of the system and the modes of transfer. Then the paper introduces the Logit model and constraints gravity model for the forecast of the passenger volume transferred. On the basis of this, the paper expounds the connotation, modes and operating plan of the transfer. Besides of that, the paper researches on the traffic transfer flow line from the view of transfer operating.Finally, the models and methods introduced in the paper are combined with the Chongqing terminal, for the prediction of the passenger volume. Based on the analysis of characteristics of traffic flow line in new Chongqing terminal, optimization of organization methods is proposed at last.
