With the rapid development of economy and the increasing investment in infrastructureof country, mileage of highway construction increases every year, and the proportion ofhigh-grade roads gradually increase. Meanwhile, the development of the automobile industryand the increasingly frequent of economic activity has brought rapid growth of traffic, whichmakes the intervals of highway from the completion to repair become shorter. Repeatedconstruction-maintenance brings two major problems: on the one hand, newly build andrebuilt of roads need a lot of building material, such as asphalt、gravel, etc, growing demanddriven price of raw material to increase, potentially increasing the construction cost ofproject; on the other hand, in the process of reconstruction and extension of highway a lot ofsolid waste which are mostly waste asphalt concrete and cement concrete will be generated. The best way to solve these problems is to recycling waste pavement materials. Using atechnical means to "regeneration", re-paving the new pavement. Using regenerationtechnology can recycling waste material, reduce cost of production and reduce energyconsumption, to achieve the goal of "green road".From view of reconstruction and extension project in Yantai area in recent years, mostof the project is about asphalt concrete pavement. For asphalt concrete, the mix proportiondesign is a key part which have An important influence on the cost of production, construction technology and production quality. Based on the above factors, the paper doresearch work and discussion on mix proportion design of recycled-modified asphaltconcrete relying on the reconstruction project of MUPING-RUSHAN line.First this paper describes the development and application of regeneration technology athome and abroad, and then analysis two types of thermal regeneration asphalt concretemixing station and determine the type of equipment. The second chapter describes the basicprinciple of asphalt aging, regeneration and determine the method of regenerating of agingasphalt. The third chapter study and test the method and result of mix proportion design ofrecycled-modified asphalt concrete. The result proves that relevant technical index ofrecycled-modified asphalt concrete can completely fulfil the requirements of constructionand specification. The fourth chapter describes the quality control in the process of construction and do some simply analysis on the cost. The fifth chapter does a summary ofthe paper and put forward the focus of research next.
