At present, China’s high-speed railway construction is in a period of rapiddevelopment. CTCS-3Train Control System is a significant component of ChineseTrain Control System(Chinese Train Control System Abbreviation CTCS) whichachieved two-way information transmission between Train and Ground based on theGSM-R Wireless Communication. So the research of wireless communication protocolis of great significance for the independent research and development of CTCS-3TrainControl System.This paper briefly introduced the basic theory of CTCS-3Train Control SystemRadio Block Center and GSM-R Wireless Communication System. on this basis, Thispaper mainly studied the communication protocol of the CTCS-3Train Control System,analyzed the frame structure and functions of the data link layer the network layer andthe transport layer of the communication protocol and studied the splitting andrestructuring relationship of the protocol packets between layers. According to theresearch of the communication protocol, the author proposed an idea of implementingthe communication protocol in the CTCS-3Train Control System--ISDN server.Through analyzing the requirements of ISDN server, we designed a overall architectureof the ISDN server system and divided the system into modules, and then described thedetails of the design and implementation of each module and showed the results of ISDNserver implementation by taking practical demonstration figure. Finally, this papersummarized the work of the current issues,, and gave a prospect about the meaning of thecommunication protocol research and the practical application of the ISDN server in theChinese high-speed railway.
