Research On Traffic Impact Evaluation Of UrbanConstruction Project

Accompanied by the ever-accelerating process of urbanization, the high intensity ofland development and utilization will inevitably affect the city’s traffic demand, the gradualincrease in the construction project brought great pressure to the traffic of the city. Theimpact of urban transport can not be ignored. Therefore, how to maximize meet the trafficneeds under the existing land and road traffic conditions, is the problems faced by theurban transport system. In order to promote the rational development of the traffic demand,alleviating the impact of the new projects for road transport, people with lofty idealsintroduced a traffic impact analysis (TIA, Traffic Impact Analysis) mechanism; strengthenthe management of the traffic impact of the urban construction projects.Currently, most of the traffic impact assessment of urban construction projects inChina’s research stay in the qualitative level, lack of a traffic impact assessment system forurban construction projects. The method，process and solution of traffic impact assessmentsare not perfect, need to further study. How to conduct a traffic impact assessment of urbanconstruction projects, quantitative analysis of the degree of the impact of the road networkwithin the sphere of influence and made reasonable traffic improvement measures, in orderto coordinate the relationship between the regional land use and transportation systems, isan urgent problem need to study.In this paper, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of traffic impact assessment ofurban construction projects at home and abroad theoretical methods, the framework of thethesis is proposed. Combined the basic theory of the traffic impact assessment of the urbanconstruction projects, the substance and meaning of traffic impact assessment are proposed.This paper focuses on the nature and characteristics of urban transportation, determinationof the traffic impact range and the Content, principles and indicators of traffic demandforecasting and evaluation. Keyuan residential construction project is an example todemonstrate the general process to conduct traffic impact assessment. Combined with theevaluation,this paper proposes transportation system optimization measures andcountermeasures.
