According to a report from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that between2003and2011, China’s above-scale industrial added value of average annual growth rate of15.4%, average annual growth rate of17%in2003-2007. As a pillar industry, the auto industry also made a small contribution to the industrial development of the country. Since2002, China’s automotive industry has begun to enter the road of rapid development, especially the requirement of private car keep upgrading, has become an important force to promote the development of China’s automobile market, making the position in the international automotive industry of China gradually increased.In recent years, international fuel prices keep rising, the increasingly serious problem of global climate, various factors forced us to seek a more energy saving and environmental protection drive style. Therefore, the electric car is an increasing number of people known, however, because of the limitations of battery technology, hybrid vehicles due to its excellent environmental protection and low fuel consumption rate, has become the preferred development of various auto companies. According to the special features and driving demand, hybrid sanitation trucks play a good at energy saving and environmental advantages. So, hybrid sanitation trucks in the broad prospects for future development, research and development of hybrid sanitation truck also has far-reaching significance.This thesis is supported by the national "863Program" Research and Development of the electric drive system based on the EMT, rely on combining study with TianJin hybrid sanitation trucks from Dongfeng special commercial vehicle co.,LTD. The article analyzes the current development of hybrid vehicles at home and abroad on the advantage of the hybrid sanitation trucks. Hybrid car works and drive type that is divided into a series hybrid, parallel hybrid, series-parallel combined hybrid, each drive a different arrangement of the type of structure. Followed by a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of three drive types to determine the use of the EMT-based parallel hybrid system designed for the hybrid sanitation truck driver type, depending on the type of drive selected, and combined with the original model of vehicle parameters and power performance, matching the right engine, motor, battery, and design the corresponding transmission system. Finally, by advisor simulation software, transferred to the parameters used in the test bench, the simulation of vehicle power performance and economy.
