Traffic plays an important role in social development and history of humancivilization, it is the link of the contact between geo-spatial and socio-economicactivities, the development of the transport network determines the breadth and depthof interaction of each geographical unit space.The rapid development of the transportbring convenience to people’s production activities, and promote social and economicdevelopment,at the same time, a series of questions gradually become prominent andeven intensify.How do we continue to develop and improve the methods of theexisting regional transport network analysis and evaluation, and promote theinteraction of transport network development and economic growth is the problems tobe solved.The subject of study in this paper is traffic network evaluation, based ondescribe the content of traffic network, with the analysis the structure and function,summarized the basic theory and analysis methods of traffic network.According to thepurpose, content, and the principles of analysis of the comprehensive evaluation toestablish the comprehensive evaluation index system of the transport network, andselect indicators and methods of evaluation used in this study, makming the necessarypreparations for empirical research.The index system evaluate the transport networkin Qinghai Province from four aspects,That is layout structure, service function,socio-economic resources and the environment. the paper eventually consider avariety of factors to determine the14evaluation.Based on the above study summaries the transportation development ofQinghai province, using the graph theory to the traffic network layout evolution in1995–2010of Qinghai province research finds that road network connectivityis gradually increased and was the development of the lattice unit and the railnetwork for the banded unit did not form a net.Then, using the analytic hierarchyprocess and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method evaluation model to makeempirical research, through modeling and computation to determine the index weightand membership, and analysis the evaluation results. Finally, we get the trends of thetransportation network in Qinghai Province during1995-2010, namely, thetransportation network in Qinghai Province gradually changed to the "good"trend.Finally, this paper describes the main conclusions and the direction of futureefforts and focus of the study of the comprehensive evaluation of the transportationnetwork in Qinghai Province.
