Study Of Industrial Heritage Renovation In Creative Industry Parks

The connection of Industrial Heritage Renovation and Creative Industry Park is an important research issue which adapts to the development of new era. It not only provides a useful solution for the Industrial Heritage Renovation, but also promotes the development of creative culture industries, leads to the revival of the city’s old industrial areas and increases regional economic incomes in modern cities. There have been some theories and practical experiences towards this issue in China, which mostly are the cases reported in the print media, with the lack of theoretical analysis and case comparison.This paper selects three typical Creative Industry Parks in China:798Art District in Beijing, Bridge8and Tonglefang in Shanghai. Through studying on the aspects of function replacement, design style, space transformation, structure renovation, composition alteration, and facilities renovation, this paper summarizes the renovation methods in three cases from the common points of view. Then from the perspective of personality, the paper compares three cases on the same aspects of renovation methods to find their own characteristics and existing problems. Finally, this paper gives this three cases reasonable future development guidance according to the outstanding foreign cases towards this issue.With the case study, this paper enriches the theoretical summary of the renovation methods of industrial heritage, and through case comparison, reveals the shortages of the cases and gives them future development pertinent recommendations. Above all, it can be a reference for the methods of Industrial Heritage Renovation in Creative Industry Parks.
