Reform and Opening-up has seen rapid development of Chinese economy. All kinds of new structures have come into being and have been applied in all the fields.Among them the large-span steel structure is the fastest growing, such as landmark buildings like the National Stadium, the National Swimming Center. In current period,little consideration has been given to the preliminary structure design of large span spacial steel structure, namely, the pure calculation of the accomplished whole structure. Paying little attention to uncertain factors in the construction of the design of large-span spatial steel structuremakes it one of the major causes of high rate of accidents during the construction of large-span complex stucture. Complex structure,long construction period, and other uncertain factors during construction of the design of large-span complex structure may make it difficult to estimate the influence caused by the change of structure internal force, stress and displacement. Therefore, it’s necessary to do numerical simulation analysis and monitoring of the whole process of construction of large-span complex steel structure, which can make it possible to predict and track the change, and guarantee the safety of the structure and the consistence of the design.Analytic reaearch has been done from the following aspects:1. Introductions have been given of the development of large-span complex steel structure at home and abroad, of the merits and demerits of complex steel structute, of the major research content of this thesis.2. Several installation methods of spacial steel structure and their merits and demerits have been introduecd. With consideration of the project condition of Lujiang Gymnasium, its installation method has been confirmed.3. Construction analysis theories and several common numerical analysis methods have been introduced. Presented also are the simulation analysis principles of MIDAS/Gen,and the numerical simulation of the steel truss of Lujiang Gymnasium in the whole construction process.4. The whole under gravity has been analized with MIDAS/Gen software. The most representative fifth truss, sixth truss, seventh truss have been treated as a unit for simulative analysis of the whole-process construction. Research has been done onseveral representative measuring points of their internal force, stress and displacement.The above-assured installation method can only be feasible when all the results are within regulatory figures.5. The actual and simulative results of internal force, stress and displacement have been compared and analysed to detect the accuracy of numerical simulation and the safety of the structure in the whole construction process, and to discover the reasons for differences. It can be referenncial for future structure research of this kind.In conclusion,the simulative analysis and monitoring of the whole construction process of large-span complex steel structure in this thesis would shed a certian instruction on futural structure research of this kind.
