As global environmental pollution is getting more and more serious,countries are seeking for cleaner energy.China is also trying improve the environment buy using electric energy instead of other power sources.With the increasing demand for electricity,the power grid is becoming greater in dimension and more complex in structure.The stability requirements of power grid are becoming increasingly prominent?Pumped storage power plants,which have the fastest way to maintain stability of the power grid,are also in a period of vigorous development.The most important functions of pumped storage power stations are main task is to keep the grid stable and supply black-start power,which means the stability of regulating systems of pumped storage power units are particularly important.As one of the most important regulating systems,the speed control system plays a crucial role in pumped storage power plant units by its communication stability,redundancy of hardware and software configuration,fault switching rate and reliability of system regulating performance.In this paper,a new type of stable speed control system will be discussed through researching and implementing the dua!hot redundant speed control system in a pumped storage power station.The main work includes:(1)To analyse the functional requirements of the system,elaborate the system building ideas by the system blueprint and build the overall structure of the hardware and the framework of the software according to function modules of the system.(2)To introduced the design ideas of communication,software and upper computer in detail and construct the system by using high reliability PLC,high reliability and high communication rate CAN bus,PROFINET communication form,and convenient local human-computer interaction interface.Adopt redundant forms,including dual bus,dual CPU,dual communication module,dual power supply and so on,to ensure high redundancy and high stability of the speed control system.(3)To verify whether the off-line design can meet the regulation requirements of speed control system by fault protection test and off-grid test such as rush test,speed disturbance test and false synchronization test,which can ensure the safety of network test.(4)On the basis of off-line test,to verify the regulating capacity of the system under the on-line condition by primary frequency regulation test and load disturbance test.To carry out the working condition test,such as power generation,pumping and phase modulation,to verify the system can coordinate with other systems of the uints and realize the function of keeping stability of the power grid.(5)The black start test is also designed to ensure that the speed control system can achieve the function of "the last match".For the black start test,the test conditions,simulation of test signals and operation steps are designed in detail.The dual hot redundant speed control system designed in this dissertation has the advantages of strong stability,fault-free switching,high communication rate and stable function.The advanced system has low failure rate and high operability,which can be widely used in the design of thermal redundancy system of industrial control.It is of great significance to promote the stability of speed control system of pumped storage power station.
