Application And Research Of Adaptive Governor And Monitoring System For Pumped Storage Power Units

Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station is the earliest Pumped Storage Power Station with 8×300MW installed capacity,which is independently designed by china and belongs to Peak shaving and frequency modulation power generation company of the China South Power Grid,Adjusting the load peak and trough.This paper mainly introduces the study of hardware configuration and control logic for Phase I Governor system of Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station,and also simultaneously describes the condition analysis system for real-time monitor of Governor.The Governor system mainly uses the redundant and integrated controller which is mainly composed of UPC,SPC.It achieve the adaptive control and real-time condition analysis,which is writed by Java language.The new control system is already designed to implementation,with more reliable hardware and advanced concept.It has eliminated the high failure rate and spare parts shortage of the old system.Moreover.The new control system had a good control performance,improving the operating efficiency of turbine and ensuring the power quality.In addition,The real-time condition analysis function provides important reference which can help the technical staff to understand real-time condition,improve the operating efficiency and solve difficult problems.This paper can be divided to six chapters:Chapter One,introduces the background and research status of governor system.Chapter Two,introduces the function,developing process and fundamental of governor for Pumped storage Units.Chapter Three,explains the hardware configuration and control logic for Governor system.Chapter Four,explains the way of governor condition analysis system researches,and B/S structure.Chapter Five,the debugging and results of governor and condition analysis system.Chapter Six,Summarizes and Prospects.Summary of this study and propose directions for further research.
