Treating technology for the connecting part between the new and the existing subgrade is a common technology problem in the highway engineering reconstruction. With the rapid development of modern highway, creative use of existing subgrade is the prior consideration of highway project decisions. In the highway reconstruction, the treating technology for the connecting part between the new and the existing subgrade is one of the key factors in the project management and implementation.Inaccurate treatment technology in combination part of roadbed and pavement can lead to pavement crack, the roadbed instability, wrong machine, etc. So it is very important for researching treatment technology in combination part of roadbed and pavement of expansion highway. The study of reconstruction projects began quite late in China, There are few specifications about treatment technology in combination part of roadbed and pavement under our country’s present standards.This paper is about treatment technology in combination part of roadbed and pavement, combined the Hohhot-Baotou section of Beijing-Tibetan highway reconstruction projects, focus on the new treatment technologys:the geocells reinforced roadbed and glass fiber geogrids reinforced road. Finite element model was built to analyze the effects of treating technology under different conditions such as the position of geocells, the position of glass fiber geogrids.
